Lincoln High School's class of 1979 will hold its 40th class reunion June 7-8. The classes of 1978 and 1980 are welcome to join in the weekend of activities. Those include:

Friday, June 7, at 6 p.m. - Attendees will meet at The Garage Sports Bar & Grill, 5551 S. 48th St. The owner is a fellow LHS graduate. There is a beer garden with food, drink specials, free appetizers and a live band at 8 p.m.

Saturday, June 8, at 10 a.m. - Tour Lincoln High with former classmates. There have been many changes in 40 years!

Saturday afternoon - Activities are planned for golfers, bowlers, walkers, bikers, car racing fans, daytime drinkers, gabbers, swimmers, farmers' marketers, foodies, kayakers, thrifters, antique lovers, fishermen and fisherwomen, runners, horse racers, and any other activities that classmates want to add. Reunion planners will gather your ideas and create an activity list. If you have been away, there is so much new to see in Lincoln!

Saturday evening - Meet at the Masonic Lodge, 2700 S St., for food (local Runzas, Valentino's Pizza and more), drinks and music.
