Tagged “the pick-up pundit,” the right-leaning Prather made his career via a series of rants recorded in his truck that he posted to YouTube.

Abdel Karim Chhibbane and Nader Farahbod from Chef Karim's Place and Billy's Restaurant are among the chefs presenting during this four-course cooking show that will help you prepare your perfect holiday party. The event also includes a cash bar and vendor expo.
The Widdler with Pushloop, 8 p.m. Saturday, Royal Grove. Born in Tel Aviv, now based in Austin, The Widdler is an innovator/orginator of dub sound. Having headlined with the likes of Bassnectar and Excision, Widdler spins influences from multiple genres of music into his sound that can range from chilled reggae dubs to threatening bass and percussion.
P.O.D. with Nonpoint, Islander, 8 p.m. Tuesday, Bourbon Theatre. San Diego’s P.O.D. has been around for a quarter century, playing a high-octane combo of metal, rap, reggae and punk. That mix made them stars in the early 2000s and they’re still out playing their hits and songs from the just released “Ciircles” on a 22-date tour that will stop at the Bourbon Tuesday.
