Dinner in white

Lincoln Haymarket Development Corp. board members and friends enjoy a dinner in white in preparation for the first Haymarket in White Dinner and Dance. This year's event is set for Aug. 5 at Pinnacle Bank Arena.

The Haymarket Development Corp. will present the second annual Haymarket in White Dinner and Dance on Aug. 5 at Pinnacle Bank Arena.

Guests dress all in white and dine on a choice of two gourmet picnic fares, so be careful when eating the cranberry citrus chutney.

The evening begins at 6 with cocktails with dinner served at 7. A dance with 402, a local cover band, will follow.

Tickets are $50 (roast beef tenderloin) or $45 (smoked turkey breast), plus fees, and available at the arena, at ticketmaster.com or at 800-745-3000.

Wine & Art

In celebration of National Preservation Month, the Preservation Association of Lincoln will host "Wine & Art," 5:30-8 p.m. May 12.

The evening begins with a wine tasting at N Street Liquors, 18th and O streets. Wines will be paired with specially prepared cheeses and other delicacies.

Following the tasting, groups will head to Assemblage at 19th and N streets for a special tour of the collections of Robert and Karen Duncan and Marc and Kathryn LaBaron with curator Anne Pagel.

Tickets are $50. For reservations, email palspecialevents@gmail.com or call Alexandra Kissel Roth at 646-342-7464. Deadline is Monday.
