Chris Brown’s Party Tour, which is coming to Lincoln on April 10, no longer includes one of the top-selling rappers featured on the original bill. For reasons undisclosed, 50 Cent has left the tour before it ever hit the road.
“We just got informed, and that is accurate,” SMG-Lincoln’s Tom Lorenz said Tuesday.
Lorenz said he hasn’t received an explanation as to why 50 Cent is not appearing at the Lincoln show, or, apparently, any of the Party Tour dates. A survey of the tour stops listed on Ticketmaster Tuesday morning revealed that the rapper of “In Da Club,” “Candy Shop” and “P.I.M.P.” fame no longer shows up in any of the billings on the two-month spring tour.
Opening performers for concerts are subject to change, meaning there will not be refunds issued because of 50 Cent’s change of plans. Brown’s show still includes three opening acts -- rappers Fabolous, O.t. Genasis and Kap G.

Lorenz said he didn’t yet know if 50 Cent, who was listed just beneath Brown’s name in the initial promotional material for the show, would be replaced on the bill or not. Tickets for the show remain on sale at the arena box office, online at ticketmaster.com and livenation.com or by phone at 800-745-3000.
