Book lovers: If you find it in your local library, you will find it at the Lincoln City Libraries' annual book sale at the Lancaster Event Center, 84th and Havelock Avenue. The sale is free and open to the public Thursday, Oct. 11, and Friday, Oct. 12, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturday, Oct. 13, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sunday, Oct. 14, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Stock your shelves with current books, collectibles, cookbooks, magazines, movies and music. Book lovers of all ages will find treasures for their home libraries, with starting prices of $1 for paperbacks and $2 for hardcover books. Sale items are top quality, donated by library supporters and surplus from the libraries.
The preview party and sale is on Wednesday, Oct. 10, from 4:30-8:30 p.m. To purchase tickets for the pre-sale, visit www.foundationforlcl.org: $50 for pre-registration and $60 the day of the event. Friends of Lincoln City Libraries members’ tickets are $45.
Volunteers are needed Monday, Oct. 8, through Sunday, Oct. 14! If you have an hour or two or belong to a group that is looking for a project, you are welcome. Lincoln’s own Jimmy Buffet fan club, Corn Republic Parrot Head Club, is adding to the fun as club members are once again volunteering to help. They truly live up to their motto, “Party with a purpose to make our community just a little better than we found it.”
All proceeds benefit Lincoln City Libraries' programs and services. To volunteer or if you have questions, contact Gail McNair at 402-441-0164, 402-429-5849 or email@example.com.
