Thursday, September 12, 2019 is World Day of Prayer, celebrated throughout the Unity Movement and beyond as a day of prayer and commemoration. Held annually on the second Thursday in September, World Day of Prayer unites Unity and draws in New Thought partner communities for a 24-hour period of prayer practice. In prayer, we dissolve our personal borders as we realize God within us and around us—an active source of life, love, and wisdom.
Unity Lincoln will hold a prayer service at 6:30 pm on Thursday. Join together with tens of thousands of people around the world. Together we will hold the High Watch during World Day of Prayer, affirming that: “there is no spot where God is not. Wherever we are, God is.” You may also submit your prayer request. They will be sent to Silent Unity to be held in silent prayer during the vigil and for the coming thirty days in the Silent Unity Prayer Chapel.
The vigil at Unity Village begins Wednesday, September 11, at 7 p.m. (CT) and closes at 8 pm Thursday. All events and updates will be posted at https://www.unity.org/wdop. You are invited to submit a prayer request and light a virtual candle. Follow the hashtag #WDOP2019 and connect at the Unity Facebook page to watch live events.
