The company said it eventually plans to offer the service to nearly 100,000 businesses in 16 states.

On Wednesday, Windstream announced it has partnered with MOBITV, a global leader in app-based TV video delivery solutions, to launch an app-based version of its television service, Kinetic TV, which will enable Windstream’s residential customers to access content on computers, tablets, phones and other devices.

The service will launch in phases, starting in select Windstream markets in north Georgia, then expanding to Lincoln.
