Zipline's Nut Brown beer won a bronze medal at the 2018 U.S. Open Beer Championships

A Lincoln craft brewery was among several from Nebraska that won medals at the 2018 U.S. Open Beer Championship.

Lincoln's Zipline Brewing won a bronze medal in the Brown Ale category with its Nut Brown.

Broken Bow-based Kinkaider Brewing Co., which is in the process of opening a Lincoln taproom in the Haymarket, also won a bronze medal in the Smoked/Rauch Beer category with its Smoked Alt.

Two Nebraska breweries took home gold medals. Ord's Scratchtown Brewing Co. took top honors in the Imperial Porter category with its Black Eye Porter beer, while Papillion-based Nebraska Brewing Co. won gold in the German Wheat category with its EOS Hefeweizen.

Nebraska Brewing also won two silver medals: in the American Strong Pale Ale category for its Cardinal Pale Ale and in the American Imperial Stout Category for its Little Betty beer.

Kros Strain Brewing based in La Vista took home a bronze medal in the Munchner Helles category for its Helles Creek beer.
