You'll soon be able to take your pet to see the vet at Petco in Lincoln.
The national pet supply retailer filed a $480,000 building permit last month for a new veterinary clinic within its store at 47th and O streets. According to the permit, it will occupy about 1,800 square feet.
A Petco spokeswoman referred to it as a veterinary hospital and said it will open sometime in the second half of the year.
The clinic/hospital will be run by a company called Thrive, which says on its website that it specializes in "affordable" veterinary care, including $25 pet exams.
Petco announced a collaboration with Thrive in May 2017, and since then it has opened vet clinics in a few dozen of its stores nationwide.

A flier that has been circulating on commercial real estate sites shows a 6,000-square-foot building with five retail bays in it.
The owner apparently plans to occupy one bay with its own nail salon and spa and lease out the other four bays. One of the spaces is being marketed as a drive-in restaurant.
