Nebraska dropped to its lowest ranking in a decade in CNBC's list of America's Top States for Business.
The Cornhusker State came in at No. 14 this year, one spot down from last year, and its lowest ranking since 2008.
Nebraska got high marks in cost of doing business, where it ranked second, and education, where it ranked third. But its overall standing was pulled down by ranks of 37th for its economy, 33rd for access to capital and 31st for technology and innovation.
Texas was first in this year's ranking, followed by Washington, Utah, Virginia and Colorado.
