Davis Design is excited to announce the promotion of Andy Sorensen, Philip Gilson, Lyndon Nelson, Kevin Riley, Randy Spangler, Dave Thompson, Erin Dobesh, Tamara Guthard, Christian Petrick, Megan Rossman and Jared Wiechman.
Sorensen, AIA, named senior associate, earned a Bachelor of Science in Design and a Master of Architecture from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He joined the firm in 2009 as an intern and accepted a full-time position as an architectural designer after graduating in 2011. Sorensen became a licensed architect and was promoted to Associate in 2016.
Gilson, promoted to associate II, serves as the information technology manager and has been at Davis Design for nearly 30 years. Nelson, AIA, LEED AP, has been promoted to associate II. Nelson is a senior architect with a degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He has over 30 years of experience in a variety of different building projects.
Riley, now associate II, is an architectural designer and has been with the firm since 1999. He earned an Associate of Applied Science degree from Southeast Community College and provides design architecture and project management services for clients across all markets.
Spangler, senior construction administrator, has been promoted to associate II. With over 30 years of construction experience as both a project manager and construction administrator, nearly 18 of which have been with Davis Design, Spangler has an unsurpassed level of experience to each job he coordinates, primarily in the healthcare and security markets.
Thompson, who has over 16 years of experience, has been promoted to associate II. Thompson is a passionate electrical designer and goes to great lengths to ensure the systems he is responsible for are coordinated with the full design.
Dobesh, an AIA, LEED Green Associate architect, has been promoted to associate. Dobesh earned a master of architecture degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She joined Davis Design in 2015.
Guthard, promoted to associate, earned a Bachelor of Communication Arts degree from Hastings College and a Master of Journalism from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Guthard has served as the communications coordinator since 2004.
Petrick, AIA, senior architect, has been named associate. Petrick earned a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He has over 20 years of design experience with an emphasis on evidence-based design principles in the educational, commercial and corporate industries.
Rossman, interior designer, has been promoted to associate. Rossman earned a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2013. She joined Davis Design in 2015 and provides interior design services for a wide variety of interior design projects, as well as support as part of Davis Contract Furnishings.
Wiechman, promoted to associate, is an electrical designer. He earned an associate's degree in architectural engineering technology from Southeast Community College. With over 10 years of experience, Wiechman has developed a high level of technical skills using Revit and understanding electrical building design.
