Glacial Till packages its original and hibiscus ginger hard ciders in six packs of 12-ounce cans, using a canning line from Lincoln's Alpha Brewing Co. It also offers several additional seasonal and special blends in kegs.

Glacial Till Vineyard & Winery's first-ever contest entry struck gold.

The Palmyra-based maker of cider and wine won a gold medal at the U.S. Open Cider Championships held earlier this month in Buffalo, New York.

Glacial Till won gold in the spiced cider category with its Hibiscus Ginger Cider.

More than 250 ciders from the U.S. and several other countries were entered in 21 categories in the contest.

Glacial Till has been producing cider for less than four years and has seen tremendous growth. It's on track to produce more than 30,000 gallons this year after more than doubling its production capacity last year. It's also in the process of expanding its tasting room and event spaces in Ashland.

Glacial Till will be offering its award-winning Hibiscus Ginger along with its other ciders at the Journal Star's Holiday Cooking Showcase at 4 p.m. Thursday at the Embassy Suites at 10th and P streets.
