Diamond's Bath Gems

Diamond's Bath Gems will be opening at Gateway Mall.

Gateway Mall has announced its second "Battle of the Pop-Up" contest winner.

The mall said Friday that Diamond’s Bath Gems will get four months of free rent, use of existing mall or store fixtures, and free utilities. Owner Deimante Matz also receives a $500 merchandising package from the center that includes interior signage, table-printed displays and graphic design services.

Diamond’s Bath Gems sells bath and shower products, including sugar scrubs, soap bars, bath bombs, dry oils, bath soaks and moisturizing lotions.

Matz has been selling her products on Etsy, at vintage markets and at craft shows. The store at Gateway Mall will be her first brick-and-mortar location.

“My little business and I couldn't be more thankful and ecstatic to be the newest addition to the Gateway Mall family,” Matz said in a news release. “I can't wait to open my doors up to all of my lovely shoppers and welcome all the new faces.”

Diamond’s Bath Gems will be located in a kiosk space in the mall's Center Court area and is scheduled to open June 1.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Diamond’s Bath Gems and help Deimante Matz celebrate her grand opening," Becky Sidles, Gateway's marketing director, said in the news release.

“We love Battle of the Pop-Up because it supports our community’s entrepreneurs," she said.

One of last year's inaugural "Battle of the Pop-Up" winners, h. flynn, has become a permanent tenant at the mall after a successful debut.
