Community Development Resources of Lincoln has been named a National Small Certified Development Company of the Year for 2013 and selected for an Award of Excellence by the U.S. Small Business Administration.

Community Development Resources, 285 S. 68th St. Place, Suite 520, was formed as a private, nonprofit corporation in 2001 and became certified by the SBA to package, close, and service loans under the SBA's 504 Loan program in May 2010. There are 266 SBA certified CDCs nationwide.

The CDC/504 loan program is a long-term financing tool, designed to encourage economic development by providing small businesses with long-term, fixed-rate financing to acquire major fixed assets for expansion or modernization.

The Community Development Resources CDC has closed 10 loan deals worth more than $10.1 million to date for companies in Nebraska, far surpassing national annual average percentage rates of increase in loans and dollar volume, SBA said. The company operates under a board of directors with Rick Wallace as its executive director, and Jeff Breunig, as SBA 504 loan officer. On the Web: http://cdr-nebraska.org.
