Bulu Box on Thursday announced the sale of its retail match-making platform Bulu Marketplace.
The Lincoln-based company said the platform was acquired for an undisclosed amount "by an international company building its retail portfolio of software services."
Bulu Box co-founders Paul and Stephanie Jarrett developed Bulu Marketplace within the past couple of years after realizing there was a market for the marketing data they were collecting about the customers to which they send their sample boxes of nutritional supplements.
"We built Bulu Marketplace for companies that provided products in subscription boxes to connect with retail buyers and find the right shelves for their products," Paul Jarrett said in a news release. "As our company focused on our core strength of building and rebuilding subscription box programs for other businesses, this acquisition was the perfect move."
