Woods Charitable Fund elects new board member, officers

Woods Charitable Fund, Inc., a private grant-making foundation, announces the election of officers and a new member to its Board of Directors.

Pablo Cervantes was elected to the board during the fund's November meeting. Cervantes is the migrant education coordinator and Latino youth development advocate for Lincoln Public Schools. He owns three property management and maintenance companies providing affordable housing options in Lincoln. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Center for Legal Immigration Assistance, the South of Downtown Community Development Organization, the Lincoln Public Schools' Community Learning Centers and the Board of Trustees for Bryan Medical Center.

Woods Charitable Fund also elected officers at its November meeting. Those elected were Donna W. Woods, chairwoman; Candice Howell, vice chairwoman; Hank Woods, treasurer; Michael J. Tavlin, assistant treasurer; and Tom Woods, president and board secretary. Nelle Woods Jamison, Ed Wimes and Michelle Suarez are continuing members of the board.
