Lincoln Industries is honored to announce the selection of five students as recipients of its annual scholarship program. Each year, Lincoln Industries selects a deserving number of students from a group of applicants whose parents work at Lincoln Industries. The scholarship is based on criteria that include grade point average, involvement in the community, and participation in high school activities. The scholarship provides the students with $1,000 per year that can be renewed annually for a total of $4,000. Scholarship winners may use their awards for any qualified institution and field of study they choose.
The recipients are: Veronica Chapman, a graduate of Lincoln East, daughter of Edward & Nancy Chapman, who will attend Creighton University, Andrew Ellerbee, son of Bill & Diane Ellerbee, a graduate of Pius X, who will attend Nebraska Wesleyan University, Sarah Johnston, a graduate of North Star High School, daughter of David & Julie Johnston, who will attend Southeast Community College, Travis Stanley, a graduate of Clarkson High School, son of Kyle & Danya Stanley and Kim and Russ Scott, who will attend Northeast Community College, and Catherine Wilkins, a graduate of Waverly High School, daughter of Wallace & Kim Wilkins, who will attend Southeast Community College.
“Our scholarship program was introduced to demonstrate the importance we place on talent, learning, and our people,” said Lincoln Industries CEO, Marc LeBaron. “All of the students that applied submitted strong applications. It is amazing to see what these students have already accomplished, and we are proud to help support them in their future educational goals.”
