The Clark Enersen Partners, a multi-disciplinary architectural, engineering, and landscape architecture firm, is proud to announce that Kate Hier, AIA, NCARB and Adam Kent have been promoted to principals in the firm.
Kate Hier is one of our firm’s most talented architects who has specialized in science and research planning and design. She is skilled at unveiling and articulating a client’s story through thought-provoking architectural detail and lab planning design.
Some of her high profile higher education science facilities throughout the nation include the University of Nebraska Medical Center Davis Global Center for Advanced Interprofessional Learning, the Colorado State University Johnson Family Equine Hospital, and the University of Illinois Research Park EnterpriseWorks 2.0 Study. Heir shares her expert knowledge on science and research design, and experiential learning while presenting at conferences throughout the nation.
She is a member of Society for College and University Planning (SCUP) and International Institute for Sustainable Laboratories (I2SL), and is the current president of the University of Nebraska College of Architecture Friends Association.
Her past affiliations and achievements include 2016-2017 director for AIA Nebraska Board of Directors, 2016-2017 University of Nebraska Young Alumni Academy, 2014-2015; regional associate director for AIA Central State Region (AIACSR) and chair of the AIACRS Emerging Professionals Committee, 2013-2014; associate director for AIA Lincoln Board of Directors, and 2011 finalist in the Ken Roberts Memorial Delineation Competition.
Adam Kent has 20 years of experience in mechanical engineering design and is one of our PK-12 school design team leaders. He is a conscientious designer, mindful of designing systems that are flexible, easy to maintain, and energy efficient.
Some of Kent’s recent projects include Lincoln Public Schools Moore Middle School and Copple YMCA, Elkhorn Valley Schools Addition and Renovation, and the University of Nebraska Memorial Stadium East Entrance Expansion and Renovation.
Kent is active in the Crete community through his service in the Crete Booster Club where he served as president from 2015-2018. He is also a founding member and active board member for the Crete Youth Basketball Association.
