KD Designs

KD Designs owner Kara Parde (center) helps Bright Lights students make bracelets during the Jewelry Design Academy class June 8 in the Railyard. Parde moved her business out of the Railyard and reopened this past weekend at 151 N. Eighth St, Suite 110, a space formerly occupied by Letter Bee Paperie.

A retail space just north of Eighth and P streets switched tenants this month.

Letter Bee Paperie, a card and stationery shop that had been at 151 N. Eighth St. Suite 110 for more than two years, closed at the end of October.

Owner Anne Schulte said on the store's Facebook page that she decided to focus on doing custom design and orders rather than having a retail store.

The space, which is next door to Scooters, stayed vacant a whole week. On Saturday, jewelry store KD Designs opened in the space. KD Designs had previously been located in The Railyard's Public Market.
