You have questions. I have some answers.

Q: We loved the characters, the plot intrigues and the clever writing on "Instinct." Was it canceled? We haven't noticed its return in 2019.

A: I have promised before that it will be back, and CBS has now announced a return date: June 16. CBS says, "In season two, NYPD consultant Dylan Reinhart (Alan Cumming) is reinstated after being put on leave, just in time to join his partner, NYPD detective Lizzie Needham (Bojana Novakovic), on their new case, the 'Sleeping Beauty Killer.'"

Q: Several years ago, there was a family drama like "Dynasty," but called "Oil" or something to do with the oil industry. It was set in North or South Dakota and starred Don Johnson. Any info you have would be greatly appreciated.

A: That was 2015's "Blood & Oil" (which at various times in its long and complicated development was also called "Boom" and "Oil"). Besides Johnson, the cast included Chace Crawford, Rebecca Rittenhouse and Delroy Lindo, and it was set in North Dakota. Reports at the time said the ratings declined steadily, and it was dropped after 10 episodes.

Q: Please help us find the Dan Patrick sports show. He was on NBCSN every day from 9 a.m. to noon. He has changed to a different channel and we have been unable to find him.

A: Patrick's nationally distributed radio show has also been simulcast for TV on NBCSN, and on the Audience channel on DirecTV and U-Verse. The show and NBCSN parted ways not long ago after a new deal could not be worked out. TV simulcasts remain on Audience and have been added to the subscription streaming service Bleacher Report Live (https://live.bleacherreport.com/). You can also find a list of radio stations carrying the show, as well as more about Patrick and his projects, at www.danpatrick.com.

Q: There was an ABC fill-in for a few weeks on Thursday nights about a young woman investigator and a con man who joined force to catch crooks. Peter Krause was in it. What happened to the show?

A: That was "The Catch," with Krause and Mireille Enos. It had two short seasons in 2016 and 2017 before being canceled. Since you mentioned Krause, you can see him in prime time these days on Fox's "9-1-1," which was just renewed for a third season.

Q: I assume "Elementary" is coming back for another season. Any word on when that might begin??

A: Why, yes, there is. The series will return for its seventh and final season on May 23. You may recall that at the end of the last season Holmes (Jonny Lee Miller) and Watson (Lucy Liu) had gone to England as consultants for Scotland Yard. In the new season, says CBS, their new careers "are disrupted by news that a member of their inner circle has been gravely wounded in the United States. As Holmes' stateside legal trouble -- the result of a confession to a murder he didn't commit -- threatens to keep them from returning to New York, their greatest foe to date, tech billionaire Odin Reichenbach (James Frain), waits on the horizon to test their limits."

Q: I was watching a movie called "Hacksaw Ridge." I want to know the name of the actress who played the mother of the hero and what TV shows she has been on. I know I have seen her many times.

A: The war drama featured Australian actress Rachel Griffiths as the mother of the conscientious-objector medic Desmond Doss (played by Andrew Garfield). Her significant TV roles have included the series "Six Feet Under" (2001-05) and "Brothers & Sisters" (2006-11), receiving Emmy nominations for her work in each, as well as the miniseries "When We Rise" (2017). Her movie work has included a supporting-actress Oscar nomination in 1999 for "Hilary and Jackie."
