Sunday: Lincoln 4, Central Illinois 3, SO.

What went right: Lincoln was able to rally after losing a late lead and get things right in the shootout. Casey Dornbach set the tone early in the shootout, with a goal in the first round. Then Dominick Mersch scored in the fourth round, and goalie Derek Schaedig closed the door on Central Illinois' Lucas Breault for the win. Schaedig had a huge day, posting 35 saves on 38 shots.

What went wrong: Three unanswered goals, two coming in the third period, tied up the game for Central Illinois. A Cole Krygier high-sticking penalty gave the Flying Aces a two-minute power play and an equalizing goal with 1:22 left to play in the game.

Next: The Stars face off again against Central Illinois, in Bloomington, Illinois, at 11 a.m. Monday.
