Five Lincoln Stars were selected for the USHL/NHL Top Prospect Game.
Forwards Paul Cotter, Philippe Lapointe and Devlin McCabe, and defensemen Christian Krygier and Cole Krygier were picked to play in the Jan. 8 contest in Kearney.
"Paul, Devlin, Philippe, Cole and Christian have worked extremely hard to earn this honor," Stars general manager Jon Hull said in a statement. "It’s great to see them recognized by the NHL. I know they will make the best of this opportunity."
Cotter, a Western Michigan recruit, has 10 points through 15 games, which is tied for sixth in USHL rookie scoring. He earned an A rating from NHL Central Scouting.
Christian and Cole Krygier, both Wisconsin recruits, each earned B ratings.
Lapointe, a Michigan recruit, earned a C rating and has three assists through 14 games. McCabe, a Minnesota Duluth recruit, has 11 points (five goals and six assists) through 15 games. He also has three power-play goals.
