Saltdogs manager Bobby Brown was named the American Association Manager of the Year for 2017. Brown, who is in his second year as Lincoln's skipper, has a record of 110-88.

In 2017, Brown has helped the Saltdogs to a 58-40 record and a Central Division championship, which is the team's first since 2014. The team finished 35-17 at home, including two different 12-game home winning streaks. In June, the team had five consecutive walk-off wins at home.

Brown is the first Lincoln manager to win the award since Tim Johnson was named Northern League Manager of the Year in 2006.

Brown is from San Luis Obispo, California, and played professional baseball for eight seasons. He is the seventh manager in Saltdogs history.
