What went right: Juan Martinez hit a two-run homer in Fargo in Lincoln's three-run third inning, and Randolph Oduber went 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs as the Saltdogs moved a game closer to clinching the American Association's Central Division. Bennett Parry pitched eight shutout innings, striking out eight. He lowered his ERA to 2.02.
What went wrong: Casey Crosby pitched the ninth for Lincoln, giving up a one-out triple to Chris Grayson, who scored on a wild pitch two pitches later. Crosby settled down after that, striking out the last two batters to end the game. In Sioux City, Kansas City scored three times in the eighth to win 5-4 and stay 4½ games behind Lincoln.
