Sunday: Gary SouthShore 2, Lincoln 1, 10 inn.

What went wrong: Lincoln has been on the winning end of several walk-offs in 2017, but Sunday saw the RailCats give them a taste of their own medicine. Chase Harris scored for Gary on an error by Christian Ibarra. The error came on a fielder's choice after batter Reggie Wilson safely reached first base. Gary's other run came in the fourth inning when Cole Fabio singled in Frank Martinez.

What went right: Bennett Parry gave Lincoln a strong outing, going eight innings and surrendering one run. He scattered eight hits, but pitched around his most dangerous situations. Brandon Jacobs hit an RBI single to score Curt Smith to give Lincoln its lone run in the fourth inning. Jacobs, Randolph Oduber and Nathaniel Maggio each had two hits.

Streaks: The loss was Lincoln's second in a row.

Dog bytes: It took until the second-to-last game of the regular season, but the walk-off was the first Lincoln has given up this year.

Next: The Central Division champion Saltdogs wrap up the regular season Monday at Gary SouthShore at 1:10 p.m.
