Sunday: Lincoln 5, Sioux City 4

What went right: Lincoln got the walk-off win on a bases loaded double by Brandon Jacobs. Cesar Valera and Curt Smith scored the decisive runs and the hit was Jacobs' third of the day. Bennett Parry gave the Saltdogs seven innings of solid work, giving up three runs on five hits while striking out three. Valera, Smith and Dashenko Ricardo each had two hits. Randolph Oduber and Ricardo both homered to help out the offense. The Saltdogs scored three runs in the sixth, which was their only offense of the game aside from the walk-off play. They managed 13 hits to Sioux City's six.

What went wrong: Lincoln fell behind 2-0 in the first inning on RBI singles by Jayce Ray and LeVon Washington. The Explorers got on the board again in the seventh on a Washington home run and Tyler Ogle singled in another in the eighth inning. While the Saltdogs consistently got hits, they stranded 10 runners.

Streaks: The Saltdogs got their second straight win and are 6-4 in the past 10 games.

Dog bytes: The walk-off win was Lincoln's ninth of the year. 

Next: Lincoln begins a three game series at Cleburne Monday at 7:05 p.m.
