Cameron Bargell of North Platte shot a 1-over-par 72 to win the boys 16-and-older division of the first Nebraska Junior Golf Tour championship Thursday at Wilderness Ridge Golf Course. Harrison Agena of Syracuse finished second at 74.

Chloe Foote of Lincoln won the girls 16-and-older division with a 79. Rose Medill of Lincoln and Megan Vetrovsky of McCook tied for second at 80.

Wahoo's Haley Thiele, who finished 32nd in last spring's Class C boys tournament as a Bishop Neumann freshman, shot a 72 to win the girls 14-15 division. Her younger sister, Hannah Thiele, scored a 78 to take the second spot in the same division.

Noah Hoffman won the boys 14-15 division.

The first NJGT championship, sponsored in part by the Nebraska Section of the PGA and the Nebraska Golf Association, drew more than 100 golfers. Golfers played in weekly tournaments across the state.

Hole-In-One Club

Debbie Sandstedt had a hole-in-one on #13 at Ashland Golf Course. Sandstedt used a 6 iron. Witnessed by Diana Johnson, Patty Johnson and June Denkinger.

Bob Saffer had a hole-in-one April 29 on No. 14 at Holmes Park Golf Course. Saffer used a 7-iron on the 177-yard hole.

Patty Roseland had a hole-in-one April 3 on No. 4 at Crooked Creek Golf Club. Rosland used a 9-iron on the 84-yard hole.

Katrina Broders had a hole-in-one March 25 on No. 1 at the West Nine at Firethorn. Broders used a 3-wood on the 93-yard hole.

Sherril Kilpatrick had a hole-in-one March 15 on No. 17 at Firethorn Golf Club. Kilpatrick used an 8-iron on the 102-yard hole.
