Colorado (24-9) vs. No. 5 Nebraska (28-4)
Nebraska will head to Lexington, Kentucky, for an NCAA regional semifinal on Friday. The Huskers also played in the Lexington Regional in 2015, the year they won the national championship, but this time the Huskers may have to play Kentucky in front of its home crowd.
Unranked Colorado upset 12th-ranked Baylor 3-0 in the second round on Saturday to get to the Sweet 16 for the first time since 1997. The Buffs finished tied for fifth place in the Pac-12 with a 12-8 record.
Nebraska and Colorado haven’t played since Nebraska moved to the Big Ten Conference. NU leads the all-time series with Colorado 49-7.
Sixth-ranked Kentucky and No. 7 BYU will play in the other match in the Lexington Regional.
