Washington State (17-15) vs. Florida State (18-10)

Washington State returns to the NCAA Tournament for the second straight year. The Cougars finished ninth in the Pac-12 with a 6-14 record, but earned key wins at Oregon and at home against Colorado and UCLA to earn an at-large bid to the tournament. Florida State enters its 20th all-time NCAA Tournament on a six-match win streak.


Washington State outside hitter Taylor Mims leads the team with 4.10 kills per set, and she has taken 1,408 swings this season, the 16th-most in the nation.

Senior right-side hitter Milica Kubura was an All-ACC first-team selection for the second straight year after leading the Seminoles with 3.61 kills per set on a .305 hitting percentage.

Stony Brook (18-12) at Nebraska (26-4)

Nebraska has a chance to reach the NCAA Final Four for the third straight season. Stony Brook qualified for its first-ever NCAA Tournament by winning the America East championship game with a 3-0 sweep of Binghamton. The Seawolves went 6-6 in the America East before upsetting top-seeded Albany in the conference semifinals.


Leading the Huskers in both kills and ace serves is Mikaela Foecke, who was a unanimous All-Big Ten selection.

Middle blocker McKyla Brooks was the most outstanding player of the America East Championship.
