Sean Fisher isn't coming back for one more season of football.
But it seems a fair bet the former Husker linebacker will be making some big moves this next year and in years to come off the field.
Fisher was among two Husker athletes recognized for the 2013 Wayne Duke Postgraduate Award? It doesn't just sound good. The award comes with a $10,000 scholarship for each winner.
Katelyn White, a Husker cross country and track and field runner, also received the honor.
Fisher is completing his business administration degree at the University of Nebraska and expects to graduate in May. He has a 4.0 GPA and is planning on going to medical school.
White, meanwhile, completes her nutrition science degree in May. She's also a 4.0 student.
Impressive work. Also impressive for Nebraska. The award, which has been given out since 2008, goes to only one male and female athlete in the Big Ten a year.
This year, a Husker sweep.
Both will be recognized at the Big Ten Kickoff Luncheon in Chicago on July 25.
