Scott Frost doesn't appear to be done trying to add to Nebraska's quarterback room.

The Huskers offered a scholarship Tuesday to Montgomery, Alabama, dual-threat James Foster, marking the second quarterback the school has offered in the past week.

NU also offered Tuscon, Arizona, dual-threat Jamarye Joiner on Dec. 28.

After Tanner Lee's announcement that he's foregoing his final year of eligibility to declare for the NFL Draft, which also came Dec. 28, the Huskers have just three scholarship quarterbacks in the fold.

They are Patrick O'Brien — a redshirt sophomore in the fall — redshirt freshman Tristan Gebbia and incoming freshman Adrian Martinez.

O'Brien's 30 pass attempts constitute the only collegiate experience among the current Husker crop.

Foster is rated a four-star prospect by 247Sports' composite ranking system and is drawing attention from SEC schools including Alabama and LSU. He's been verbally committed to both North Carolina and Missouri, but backed off his pledge to Mizzou in October.

Joiner, a three-star prospect, is currently verbally committed to Arizona but did not sign a National Letter of Intent in December.

It is also possible NU explores the transfer market through the spring and summer.
