In the interest of full disclosure, here is the AP ballot I sent Sunday morning to New York (last week's ranking in parentheses):

1. Alabama (1)

2. Oregon (3)

3. LSU (2)

4. Florida State (4)

5. Georgia (6)

6. South Carolina (8)

7. Stanford (9)

8. Southern Cal (10)

9. K-State (15)

10. Notre Dame (12)

11. West Virginia (11)

12. Texas (13)

13. Florida (17)

14. Clemson (5)

15. TCU (16)

16. Ohio State (14)

17. Oklahoma (7)

18. Mississippi State (23)

19. Louisville (25)

20. Rutgers (NR)

21. Oregon State (NR)

22. Oklahoma State (22)

23. Michigan State (21)

24. Northwestern (NR)

25. Nebraska (NR)

*** How could one not jump Oregon to No. 2 after its 49-0 beat-down of then-No. 22 Arizona?

*** Why did I place K-State no higher than No. 9? I'd pick each of the eight higher-ranked teams over the Wildcats in a head-to-head match-up on a neutral field.

*** Nebraska sneaks back onto my ballot just ahead of Ohio and Minnesota and a few others. Would you pick Ohio to beat Nebraska? Minnesota? Didn't think so.
