The Buffalo Bills promoted former Nebraska wide receiver Brandon Reilly to the active roster, the team announced Tuesday.

Bills receiver Jordan Matthews suffered a sprained ankle in Sunday's loss to the New England Patriots and was placed on injured reserve, allowing Reilly to be recalled from the Bills' practice squad.

The Lincoln Southwest product finished his Husker career with 70 receptions, 1,275 yards and six touchdowns and was signed by the Bills as an undrafted free agent.

It's certainly a welcome promotion for Reilly, after his 500-mile Uber ride from October during the bye week.
