Jordan Westerkamp is headed north.

The former Nebraska wide receiver signed a contract to play for the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League, his agency announced Monday.

Westerkamp finished his Husker career with 2,474 receiving yards and 18 touchdowns, including career-bests of 918 and seven his junior year in 2015.

Westerkamp, a Lombard, Illinois, native, signed with the Miami Dolphins in July as an undrafted free agent, but he was waived during the preseason following an injury.

The Argonauts are coached by longtime NFL and CFL coach Marc Trestman and are the reigning Grey Cup champions.
