Former Husker Zac Taylor has been promoted to quarterbacks coach with the Los Angeles Rams. Taylor previously coached the Rams' wide receivers.
"Zac’s promotion is a testament to him and the coaches that we have in place as well as our desire as an organization to build and grow from within," Rams coach Sean McVay said. "He has a clear understanding of our offense and we’re confident in his ability to coach this group at a high level and that his transition into the role will be seamless."
Taylor, who played at Nebraska from 2005-06, guided a Rams receiving group that produced four players who record 500 yards or more, including Cooper Kupp, who had 869 receiving yards.
Now Taylor will work with Jared Goff, one of the NFL's young rising stars.
Prior to joining the Rams, Taylor was an assistant with the Miami Dolphins.
Taylor's brother Press is an assistant quarterbacks coach with the Philadelphia Eagles.
