Deng Deng, the junior college forward who took an official visit to Nebraska last weekend, has committed to Baylor.

Deng made the announcement via Twitter on Sunday afternoon:

“After careful consideration I am taking my talents to Waco, TX and becoming member of the Baylor Basketball Sic 'em Bears.”

Deng, a 6-foot-8 Sudan native, played last season at Lee (Texas) Community College. He visited LSU over the weekend, the school to which he’d committed before having to attend junior college. He visited Baylor only days before his visit to Lincoln.

Deng’s commitment to Baylor means Nebraska will turn its attention to Jordan Cornish, the 6-foot-6 shooting guard from New Orleans who’d committed to Tennessee but was released from his signed letter of intent after a coaching change.

Cornish visited Wake Forest this weekend and is scheduled to visit Lincoln next weekend. He originally had planned on visiting SMU, too, but reportedly has eliminated SMU from his list and will instead visit UNLV after his visit to Nebraska.

Nebraska has two scholarships available for the 2014-15 season.
