Sixth-ranked Omaha Burke wiped out a one-set deficit to outlast Lincoln North Star 17-25, 26-24, 25-17, 25-22 in the finals of the A-4 volleyball district at Bellevue East on Wednesday.

North Star (15-18) reached the final by sweeping Omaha Central 25-21, 25-20, 25-12 in the first round, a match that North Star coach Kristi Nelson-Hitz called one of the best of the season for her team.

"We played very efficiently against Central and it carried over into the first game against Burke," she said. "We were up 22-18 in the second, and I honestly think if we won that (set), we could've won in three because we were rolling."

Senior Brandy Koll had 25 kills in the two matches to lead North Star. Junior teammate Kimberly Bailey added 19 kills to go with 39 assists, while freshman outside hitter Jaelynn Griess had 18 kills on the night. Junior Aly Wurster added 36 assists for the 'Gators and junior libero Katelin Hiskey registered 29 digs.
