Lincoln Southwest vs. Lincoln East, HAC girls final, 12/30/17

Lincoln East's Mira Patel (14) looks for a pass under pressure from Southwest's Emerson Barada (4) during the first half Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017, at Northeast High School. East defeated Southwest 41-34 to claim the HAC tournament title.

Class A girls district basketball pairings were released Tuesday, and three Lincoln teams have a chance to host semifinals and finals.

Lincoln East, ranked No. 1, will host Omaha Central when district play starts next Tuesday.

Lincoln Pius X, ranked seventh, will open against Grand Island, and could possibly see Lincoln High in the district final. The Links defeated the Thunderbolts 36-24 on Jan. 12.

The A-7 District features top-seeded and No. 9 Lincoln Northeast and No. 6 Lincoln Southwest. If the Rockets (vs. Omaha Burke) and Silver Hawks (vs. North Platte) win their respective first-round games, they'll meet for a third time this season.

Southwest won the previous two meetings, but the stakes would be higher this time. The winner would head to state, while the loser would be hoping for a wild-card berth.

Lincoln Southeast will play at No. 10 Fremont on Tuesday.

One of the more intriguing district pods is at Omaha Westside. The No. 2 Warriors are the top seed, and if they advance to the final, they'd see either Omaha Northwest or Omaha Benson. Northwest beat Westside in overtime recently, while Benson is playing very well at the right time.

A-1 District: No. 4 seed Omaha Bryan (1-19) at No. 1 seed Millard South (19-2), 7; No. 3 seed Millard West (10-10) at No. 2 seed Bellevue West (11-10), 5:30; Feb. 22 final, 7.

A-2 District: No. 4 Lincoln North Star (1-20) at No. 1 Omaha Westside (20-3), 6; No. 3 Omaha Northwest (10-8) at No. 2 Omaha Benson (12-7), 5; Feb. 22 final, 6.

A-3 District: No. 4 Bellevue East (2-19) at No. 1 Millard North (19-2), 5:45; No. 3 Omaha North (10-8) at No. 2 Norfolk (13-8), 5; Feb. 22 final, 5:45.

A-4 District: No. 4 Omaha Central (3-18) at No. 1 Lincoln East (18-3), 7; No. 3 Papillion-LV South (9-11) at No. 2 Omaha Marian (11-9), 5:30; Feb. 22 final, 7.

A-5 District: No. 4 Grand Island (3-19) at No. 1 Lincoln Pius X (13-8), 6; No. 3 Kearney (11-10) at No. 2 Lincoln High (14-8), 6; Feb. 22 final, 6.

A-6 District: No. 4 Omaha South (5-16) at No. 1 Papillion-La Vista (15-6), 7; No. 3 Lincoln Southeast (9-13) at No. 2 Fremont (15-8), 6:30; Feb. 22 final, 7.

A-7 District: No. 4 Omaha Burke (6-14) at No. 1 Lincoln Northeast (14-7), 6:30; North Platte (9-12) at Lincoln Southwest (13-8), 6; Feb. 22 final, 6:30.
