Kyle Luedtke scored all five of Creighton Prep’s five points in the third overtime as the top-ranked Junior Jays outlasted upset-minded Lincoln Pius X 83-80 Thursday night in the first round of the Class A state boys basketball tournament at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
Jaylin Hunter and Akol Arop led Creighton Prep with 22 and 21 points, respectively. Joe Dworak had 25 points to pace Pius X and Charlie Easley added 20. Easley banked in a 28-footer at the end of regulation to force the first overtime.
Bellevue West 59, Kearney 51: Senior Cedric Johnson scored 17 points and freshman guard Chucky Hepburn added 12 to lead No. 4 Bellevue West past No. 8 Kearney in Thursday's first round of the Class A state boys basketball tournament at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
Bellevue West (19-6) will face No. 6 Millard South in a 7 p.m. semifinal Friday at PBA. Kearney (18-7) was paced by Kanon Koster with 22 points.

Millard South 75, Omaha Central 65, OT: Sixth-ranked Millard South wiped out a 20-point first-quarter deficit to upset No. 3 Omaha Central in the first round of the Class A state boys basketball tournament at Pinnacle Bank Arena on Thursday.
Nebraska baseball recruit Kyle Perry scored 30 points and teammate Tyrell Carroll added 26 to pace the Patriots (17-7), who advance to a Friday 7 p.m. semifinal against Bellevue West. Carroll hit a 15-foot jumper with 2 seconds left in regulation to force overtime.
Central (24-3), which started the game on a 17-0 run, was paced by Roman Behrens with 16 points.
