Aurora junior point guard Baylor Scheierman has made an oral commitment to play men's basketball at South Dakota State beginning in the 2019-20 season. He made the announcement Monday night on Twitter.

The 6-foot-5 Scheierman helped the Huskies go 25-2 and reach the Class B state tournament semifinals last season by averaging nine points, three rebounds, four assists and just over two steals per game as a sophomore. He played for the Omaha Sports Academy Crusaders this past summer.

Scheierman was a standout quarterback this fall for the Aurora football team, passing for 1,987 yards and 22 touchdowns in eight games.
