Final days of the Legislature

LINCOLN, NEB - 05/18/2017 - State sens. Laura Ebke (left) and Dan Watermeier speak with one another as debate continues on the floor of the legislature on Thursday, May 18, 2017, at the Capitol. KRISTIN STREFF, Journal Star

As a conservative, I support Dan Watermeier for Public Service Commission. I appreciate that Dan has fought for pro-life issues, lower property taxes, supported the best treatment for our veterans and is a defender of our Second Amendment rights.

As a Lincoln business owner, I support Dan Watermeier for Public Service Commission. I appreciate his tireless support for Nebraska businesses. We now have global competition, and Dan recognizes that. He is a farmer and small business owner who works to keep Nebraska competitive.

It is also important to set the record straight concerning an opponent's dishonest advertising. The adversary's ad makes false claims about taxes owed on internet purchases, which are obligated by Nebraska law to be paid with our Nebraska income tax. Unlike his opponent, Dan Watermeier encourages Nebraskans to follow the law.

Dan Watermeier is the right person to serve on the Public Service Commission. He is honest and fiscally responsible. On May 15, please join me in voting for Dan Watermeier, the conservative choice for Public Service Commission. He is a leader we can trust.

James Plucknett, Lincoln
