Listen closely, and you will hear a groundswell occurring across America. More people want our federal government to invest in human capital, to erase our military bootprints from countries not our own, to build our economy while getting us out of debt.
More people want — and need — a government that is proactive and pragmatic to its core. That means meeting the challenges of climate change head-on. That means helping agriculture adapt to severe weather events. That means rebuilding our outmoded infrastructure and electrical-power grid. That calls for robust investment in scientific and technological innovation.
More people want — and deserve — “American leadership” where it counts. How do we as a country cultivate our citizens? How do we protect and enhance our land and air and water? How do we maintain our nation’s financial health? To lead the world in areas vital to civilization our government must demonstrate intentionality. Are we seeing that in Washington now?
The first waves of the new American groundswell are breaking here in Nebraska. Nebraska can lead the way. I am voting for Dennis Frank Macek, Republican for U.S. Senate.
When you cast your vote, look to the future — for the benefit of your children and their children and all children.
