Imagine converting your passion into a profession.
It’s happening through the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where PGA Golf Management Program majors are transforming their love of the game into a successful career.
You might be surprised by the wide range of career opportunities available in the golf industry.
Students enrolled in the PGA Golf Management program receive classroom instruction, a player development program taught by PGA professionals, and structured internship experiences from within Nebraska to across the United States, and even to international sites such as London, New Zealand or any location where golf is played.
“We keep getting calls for interns and career positions in the golf industry for our program graduates,” said program director Dann Husmann, Ph.D.
"The demand far exceeds the supply," he said, "and at this time, our program has a 100 percent placement rate for our graduates who have actively sought a career in the golf industry."
The program needs help with recruitment. "We work very well with transfer students into our PGA golf management program," said Husmann.
Graduates are eligible for PGA Class A membership upon graduation and have often secured their entry position before they even graduate. The program at UNL is one of 18 accredited PGA Golf Management university programs in the country.
