Lincoln City Golf is filled with a great deal of opportunities to help improve your game.

No matter what your age or skill level, Lincoln City Golf has programs that will not only help you lower your score but also make your golf experience much more enjoyable. Programs range from private instruction to group classes and anything in-between.

For Al Baker and his son Peter, Lincoln City Golf has been an amazing experience and a way for them to connect through the game of golf. Peter started at Mahoney Golf Course by participating in the camps and absolutely fell in love with game.

One day, Al was caddying for him and saw how much his son enjoyed the game, so he decided to try it out for himself. Al started taking lessons from Wade Foreman in October of 2016 and then with Joe Canny in the summer of 2017 at Jim Ager Golf Course. Both Foreman and Canny introduced him to the game in a great way.

Baker has been playing ever since and loving it.

“The instructors and staff at Ager and Mahoney have been fantastic for both me and my son,” he said. “They’re personable, friendly, professional and great with kids. I owe a great deal of what I’ve learned to Joe, Wade and my son.”

Baker urges any beginning golfers to take a lesson.

“What’s great about Lincoln City Golf’s programs is they are very affordable,” Baker said. “The PGA pros do whatever they can to help improve your game, they’ll sell you clubs at a very cheap price, and they even offer to play rounds with you. One lesson with Joe made an immediate fix with my swing, and off we went to play a few holes. I’m very happy with the experience and will continue keeping a membership at Ager.”

All of Lincoln City Golf’s staff, PGA pros and instructors are extremely knowledgeable about the game. They’re friendly, professional and will do whatever they can to help you improve. If you’re looking for a great experience and a new sport to play, head to one of the City of Lincoln courses for a lesson or group class, and they’ll get you started in the right direction.
