Imagine needing end-of-life care for yourself or someone you love, and not having the resources to pay for it. That is the dilemma faced by many families who reach out to The Monarch for help.

Fortunately, The Monarch By Eastmont has many friends, and on April 30, nearly 150 of them gathered at Eastmont for the annual Monopoly for The Monarch tournament. This event and the corresponding Monopoly party raised over $30,000 to provide charity care to individuals in need from Lincoln and surrounding communities.

The Monarch, owned and operated by Eastmont, provides end-of-life care to terminally ill patients and collaborates with the six area hospice agencies. Since opening in 2003, The Monarch has served more than 1,000 people ranging in age from 1 month to over 100 years, and has provided more than $1 million in benevolent care. With the support of donors, the goal is to have one bed available for charity care at all times.
