The second annual Sowers-sponsored Car, Truck & Motorcycle Show drew a record-high 102 entries and raised over $4,500, split between the Lincoln Family Autism Network and the Child Advocacy Center.

Car Show chairman Stan Dinges said proceeds from the show allowed the Sowers to give $2,257.33 each to the two beneficiaries. A separate donation brought in an additional $700 for the Autism Network.

The show was held in May in the Gateway Shopping Center’s west parking lot. A total of 26 Sowers members helped stage the show the day of the event and five other members helped with the show.

Dinges said nearly 10 additional divisions were added this year and that plans for the third annual event in 2018 are already under way. Next year’s show is set for May 20 and will return to the Gateway parking lot.
