Registration is open for the 12th annual NSC (Nebraska Sports Council) Mud Run, scheduled Aug. 25 at Lancaster Event Center, 84th & Havelock Ave. Last year, more than 1,400 runners from nine states participated.
The race offers one- and three-mile courses; runners can run individually or on three-person tethered teams. Both courses feature multiple obstacles, including mud pits and a giant slip-n-slide.
All participants get a shirt, finisher medal, post-race beverage, free Arby’s Roast Beef sandwich coupon and access to the post-race party featuring a photo backdrop, vendor giveaways, music, food and beverages. Thirty spray-off stations and a bag drop are offered for runner convenience.
