Jeff Schroeder, son of Jeff and Esmerelda Schroeder, is a 7th-grade student at North American Martyrs School, 1101 Isaac Dr. Jeff was cited for being a hard worker who is always prepared to help with extra projects. He is a Center for People in Need volunteer and an altar boy. He’s played three years in the Lincoln Midget Football League, earning Blocker of the Year honors during his second year, and he played on a basketball team that went undefeated this season.

Sarah Raphael, daughter of Marc and Michelle Raphael, is a 7th-grade student at Irving Middle School, 2745 S. 22nd St. Sarah was cited for being a respectful, responsible student who serves as a good role model. She is a Girl Scouts volunteer and a Bronze Award recipient from Girl Scouts Spirit of Nebraska. She’s participated in the Mayor’s Run, is enrolled in pointe ballet, tap dances and musical theater, and plans the violin at school.

Natalie Schieuer, daughter of Kevin and Heidi Schieuer, is an 8th-grade student at St. Joseph School, 1940 S. 77th St. Natalie was cited for being conscioutious and hard working. She twice planned and led a three-day Girl Scout day camp. She is a “Boo at the Zoo” volunteer, a Stewardship Award winner, Honor Roll student, and a winner of awards in chemistry and American history. She plays softball, basketball and volleyball, and participates in track, throwing the discus and shot put.
