Farm Bureau Financial Services employees in Lincoln recently recognized a veteran colleague for his military service, presenting him with a handcrafted quilt. Dan Walford received the quilt at the company’s offices Nov. 7. The quilt, handcrafted by fellow employees at Farm Bureau Financial Services, was given to Walford in honor of Veterans Day (Nov. 11).
“This quilt is incredible, and I’m thankful for the recognition,” said Walford, a field claims and agriculture underwriting representative. “I know my co-workers spent a lot of time making it, and I just want to say thank you for the wonderful gift.”
Farm Bureau employees Sheryl Houston and Lori Strottman organized a group of quilters who worked all year long. The quilts took anywhere between 20-100 hours each to complete, and were presented to veteran Farm Bureau team members in seven states.
