Sept. 21 – Lincoln’s Finest Event for Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in Lincoln will host its second annual Lincoln’s Finest cocktail-style reception, 6 p.m., in the historic Jasmine Room at the Grand Manse, 10th and P streets. The event celebrates young professional honorees for their contributions to the community while also helping to improve the lives of people living with cystic fibrosis. Oct. 5 – Tabitha’s Signature Event

Each fall, friends of Tabitha join together to support the more than 2,500 elders Tabitha serves each day throughout 28 southeast Nebraska counties. Tabitha’s Signature Event is an elegant, social evening celebrating life’s experiences. It begins with experiences, a silent auction and cocktails at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner and a program from 7:15 p.m.-9 p.m. at the Country Club of Lincoln, 3200 S. 24th St. The event supports and celebrates Tabitha’s mission to provide innovative elder care regardless of someone’s financial situation. Oct. 6 – Nebraska by Heart Auction

Doors open at 5 p.m., and auctioning of the Nebraska by Heart public art project’s 89 hearts begins at 7 p.m. at Haymarket Park. Proceeds will be split three ways between the artists; Sadie Dog Fund, which helps dogs with lifesaving surgeries and treatments that are too costly for their families; and Lead Up (formerly Boys Hope Girls Hope), which helps prepare underrepresented students to graduate from high school, successfully complete college and enter a career. Oct. 19 – 24th Annual Okto Beerfest

Lincoln Sertoma Clubs will present the 24th annual benefit for the Nebraska State Stroke Association, 6:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m., and VIP reception, 5:30-6:30 p.m. You’ll find beer tasting, food sampling, live and silent auctions, entertainment and more at the Lancaster Event Center, 84th and Havelock Avenue. The event supports and celebrates NSSA's mission to serve Nebraskans through stroke prevention, education, advocacy and support services. Oct. 19 – Party with the Playhouse

Lincoln Community Playhouse will honor Connie Dillow (posthumously), Leta Powell Drake, David Landis and Rod McCullough as Playhouse Legends at the Party with the Playhouse gala, 6:30-10 p.m., Lincoln Country Club, 3200 S. 24th St. The gala includes dinner, a cash bar, auction and entertainment by Playhouse performers. Oct. 20 – Tails ‘N Ties Dinner

This annual fundraiser for the Capital Humane Society begins with dinner at 6:30 p.m. at the Cornhusker Marriott Hotel.
